Abbas Cultural Presents 27th Year 10 Day Mega Annual Art Festival “KALAI VIZHA 2019”

Kalai Vizha – is a flagship cultural event of Abbas for the last 26  years. When it was started, Dr.K.J.Yesudas, who is the mentor of this Kalai Vizha, had aptly suggested having this classical cultural event towards the conclusion of the Margazhi music season and towards the beginning of the new year. Also, he has been singing for Kalai Vizha right from the very first year, on the day of Pongal festival.

As every year, this year’s Kalai Vizha includes top carnatic exponents like Aruna Sairam, Vishaka Hari, Sudha Ragunathan, Nithyashree Mahadevan, Ranjani Gayatri, O.S.Arun, Abhishek Raguram, Rajesh Vaidhya, to name a few along with Padmavibushan Dr.K.J.Yesudas and Padmabushan Dr.S.P.Balasubramanyam. Also features Stage Play by veterans like Crazy Mohan, Y.Gee.Mahendra etc.

This edition of Kalai Vizha is happening at Kamarajar Hall, Teyampet, Chennai which is one of the Prestigious halls in Chennai.

Daily 2 Performances- one at 3.30 p.m and another at 7 p.m.
